Homeowner Growing & Maintenance Tips

Plant when weather and soil warm, so that lowest leaves are 1" (3cm) above soil level. Does best caged or staked 24-36" (60-90cm) apart.

Usage/Other Information

Heirloom tomatoes have far more flavor than the traditional hybrid tomatoes available at most stores. Heirlooms are nonhybrid, so they reproduce perfectly from seeds (unlike hybrids). In fact, these tomatoes are called "heirloom" or "heritage" tomatoes because the seeds have been passed down for generations.
