The freshly cut leaves of the dill plant are perfect for flavoring dips, butter, soups, and salads. The pungent and aromatic seeds of the dill plant can also be used to flavor meat and vegetable dishes.

Green Bean Salad

Cook beans in boiling salted water until just tender, about 3 minutes. Drain and refreshen under running cold water. In a blender or food processor, blend together shallot, garlic, mustard, vinegar, oil, and sour cream. Process until smooth. Add dill, salt, and pepper to taste. Pour over beans and toss to coat evenly. Chill until ready to serve.
