Chervil, a member of the carrot family, is widely used in French and European cuisine. It is often used to season poultry, seafood and vegetables.

Chervil Butter

Mix all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. Place on a piece of waxed paper and form into a cylinder about 2 inches in diameter. Wrap and chill for up to 3 days until ready to use. Slice into medallions.

1/2 C. (1 stick) unsalted butter; softened
1 clove garlic; minced
1 tbsp. parsley; minced
2 tbsp. fresh chervil; chopped
1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tbsp. Cognac
pinch of cayenne pepper
pinch of paprika
salt and freshly ground pepper

Serving Information

Try this delicious butter on top of broiled lamb chops or broiled chicked breasts.
